Biography

I recently left a very busy working environment to enable myself to return to painting and get better at it.

My art practice is based on information I gather by drawing and painting outdoors and by walking or just being quiet in the landscape.

Isn't it important to absorb the essence of a place, to pick up the cues never found in a photograph? Long walks and journeys inform my work causing it to become fluid and keeping it vibrant.

I live between the softness of Dorset and the harsher environment of Le Marche in Italy and trying to capture both worlds is my challenge.

I welcome invitations from galleries and individuals and all work featured is for sale
